independent breweries. They have built up a great reputation for innovation and
collaboration with their range of all things beery. The Advent Calendar was
first launched in 2012 and has been a sell out every year since.
Best of British Beer Director
Will Sherwin said “We’re delighted to launch our 2016 Advent Calendar with Tori
at Darwin Brewery. The pre-Christmas rush has become increasingly important for
breweries across the country and we’ve seen a massive rise in advent calendars
with everything from tea to pork scratchings behind the windows. Demand to be
featured in this unique gift is always high and we’re confident that we have
the finest line up of beers from northern Scotland to Cornwall. There is a
really wide range of beer styles too from Stouts and Porters through to Pale
Ales, Lagers and everything inbetween” He added.
The unique Christmas tree Advent
design has been featured on ITV’s This Morning, in Selfridge’s on Oxford Street
and received rave reviews in the BBC Good Food Guide, it was also a finalist in
the 2015 Packaging Awards held at Park Lane Hilton last November. It offers
breweries like Darwin Brewery a brilliant profiling opportunity and gives
drinkers all over the world to enjoy beer brewed in Sunderland.
Tori commented “We’re thrilled to
be part of such an exciting product with Best of British Beer. The calendar
will be a fantastic gift for any beer loving family members, friends, or even
lucky secret Santa recipients! We hope the variety in the advent calendar will encourage
beer lovers to try British breweries they may not have heard of before.”
